A jack is a common lifting tool that can be used to lift heavy objects. According to their usage and structural characteristics, jacks can be divided into the following categories.

1. Mechanical jack

The mechanical jack is a common type of jack, which mainly consists of a screw rod and a jack head. When the screw is rotated, the jack head will generate a force that moves up and down, thereby achieving the purpose of lifting. Mechanical jacks usually use a manual rotating screw, and some are driven by motors or hydraulics. This type of jack is suitable for small lifting tasks and is relatively simple to operate.

2. Hydraulic jack

A hydraulic jack is a tool that uses hydraulic principles to achieve lifting. It consists of hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic pipeline and control valve. When hydraulic oil enters the hydraulic cylinder from the hydraulic pump, the piston in the hydraulic cylinder is acted upon by pressure and generates an upward force, thereby lifting the heavy object. Hydraulic jacks have the advantages of large lifting capacity and easy operation, and are widely used in industrial fields.

3. Pneumatic jack

A pneumatic jack is a tool that uses gas pressure to achieve lifting. It consists of pneumatic cylinder, air pressure pipeline and control valve. When the air source enters the cylinder through the air pressure pipe, the piston in the pneumatic cylinder will be affected by the air pressure and generate upward force, thus lifting the heavy object. Pneumatic jacks have the characteristics of fast lifting speed and simple operation, and are suitable for some occasions that require frequent lifting.

4. Hydraulic air cushion jack

Hydraulic air cushion jack is a tool that uses air cushion and hydraulic principles to achieve lifting. It consists of air cushion and hydraulic cylinder. When in use, the air cushion is first placed under the heavy object, and then hydraulic oil is injected into the air cushion through the hydraulic cylinder. After the air cushion expands, it generates upward force to lift the heavy object. Hydraulic air cushion jacks are suitable for tasks such as lifting at noon and adjusting positions. They have the advantages of wide range and convenient operation.

5. Manual jack

A manual jack is a tool that uses human power to achieve lifting. It usually consists of a screw bar and a jack head. By manually rotating the screw, the jack head creates a force that moves up and down, thereby lifting the weight. Manual jacks are suitable for small lifting tasks and are relatively simple to operate, but their lifting capacity is limited.

6. Electric jack

An electric jack is a tool that is driven by an electric motor to achieve lifting. It usually consists of an electric motor, a screw rod and a jack head. The electric motor drives the spiral rod to rotate, and the jack head will generate force to move up and down, thereby lifting the heavy object. Electric jacks have the advantages of large lifting capacity and easy operation, and are suitable for occasions that require frequent lifting.

The above is a classification introduction of jacks based on their usage methods and structural characteristics. Different types of jacks are suitable for different lifting tasks. Choosing a suitable jack can improve work efficiency and ensure the safety and reliability of the lifting process.
