How To Use A Jack?

I believe many car owners don’t know how to use a jack, and some even don’t know where to put the jack. Today I’m going to share how to use a jack. If a tire blows out, then if you need to replace the spare tire, you must use a jack. You won't change your spare tire if you don't even know how to use a jack.

1. First, the car should stop. It is an automatic transmission model. Put the gear in P and pull the handbrake. If it is a manual transmission, you need to set the gear to first or R, and pull the handbrake again to ensure that the car comes to a complete stop.

2. Remove the jack from the trunk. Usually, the jack is kept with the spare tire. Furthermore, the jack on the car is remembered as a special car. You can't jack up the car with a small jack, it's absolutely impossible.

This is the most common type of mechanical jack, it is relatively low cost and relatively small. It also uses connecting rods and sleeves, so these three are the tools we use when changing tires.

3. Find the support point of the jack under the car. This is something that many car owners tend to do wrong, and it is also the most dangerous thing. If you don't feel right, the bottom of this car will most likely be jacked up.

4. You can lift this jack. For safety reasons, I recommend that all car owners and friends put a pair of gloves in the car to prevent our hands from being injured when using them.

It should be noted that our car must be parked on flat ground. You should not park the car on a slope or on some relatively soft grass, otherwise the jack will lose balance and it will be easy to lower the car.

Once the jack is loaded, you can use a socket to insert the hole into the connecting rod. This can be turned clockwise to allow the jack to rise slowly. After changing the tire, simply turn the clockwise motion to counterclockwise to lower the jack.
